Great Books that Made Authors Famous

There are many authors we were reading throughout the years. However, sometimes we forget that each of them once was an ordinary person that had a job, family an ordinary life. Most of them became popular instantly after publication of a single book and then they became celebrities in a flash. Below you’ll find the list of such authors and their successful books.

Margaret Mitchell

Margaret became popular instantly – she did not expect to become such a famous person. Mitchell were invited to lead lectures in US universities, was often interviewed and photographed. For many years she and her husband John led an ordinary life, so such a new life became a stress for her. John Marsh took great efforts to protect his beloved wife from tiresome journalists, he managed contacts with publishing houses, directed finance.

The writer has died on August 16, 1949, in the hometown of Atlanta from wounds which I she got in road accident several days before. John Marsh has lived after her death for three years.

There is nothing closer and more natively to the person, than his or her own story. Probably, therefore the novel “Gone with the Wind” will be always relevant. And even many years later it will be called classics of the world literature.

In the 1995th year she has finished the first book about Harry Potter which has shortly been sent to almost all agencies of England. She got refused 12 times, however finally one of the agencies after all has decided to publish the book.

Novell was barely published, but soon began to collect the awards. “Nestlé Smarties Book Prize”, “British Book Award”, “Children’s Book Award” – each of these awards has strengthened Joanne’s positions, and has brought her books the first popularity.  After the first book new novels have followed. There were published and bought millions of books about Harry Potter which made Joanne Rowling one of the most famous and rich writers in the history.

In the year 2004 Joanne Rowling became the first dollar billionaire who has earned money only with the books published. Rowling has been awarded with “Hugo”, the Order of the British Empire and many other rewards for the contribution to development of the British literature.
